Fees are determined on a project basis. One project, one price. You don't pay for any down-time, and you get value for your money. Mark will gladly work with you to arrive at a project fee that suits your budget. As such, the dollar amounts mentioned below are only guidelines.

Research: includes library and 'Net searches, phone interviews, in-person interviews, email interviews, preparation of project-specific research tools if needed. $50/hr.

Writing: With your direction, Mark will create and polish work that is specific to the needs of your audience or company, from first draft to finished document. $50/hr.

Editing: from the tiniest of grammatical errors, to the most complex sentence, ViewPoints Products and Services will ensure clarity, readability and accuracy, without changing your written "voice". $50/hr.

Translation: ViewPoints Products and Services prides itself on technical and idiomatic accuracy in French-English translation. Not everyone knows that word-for-word translation is sometimes impossible. Mark does, working to come up with accurate content, as well as proper grammatical expression. Up to $0.25/word.

Proofreading: Got text needing that final polish? Do you need "a different set of eyes" to comb the work for the stuff you missed? Or is it picky work that you just don't have time for? Grammar, stylistic consistency, and spelling are just a few of the things he'll check for. $25/hr.

In calculating the number of hours he'll spend on a project, Mark takes into account the project details you provide, and (where necessary) includes research, writing, and editing time, and any related expenses. Prospective clients receive a detailed estimate outlining this information, free of charge.

Publication design, pre-press production and printing costs (if requested) are estimated separately. These costs vary, depending on the specifications you provide for your final product.

Canadian clients: Prices quoted above exclude Goods and Services Tax (GST). GST will be calculated separately on the final price quote.
